Everyone knows im in over my head, over my head, 8 seconds left in overtime

Today I go back to my indie roots with Over My Head by The Fray. I used to listen to The Fray so much because the lyrics make me feel like i'm not the only one out there feeling in over my head. I was making playlists the other day on my ipod and started to listen to random artists and was reminded of why I love The Fray.

I haven't been feeling hundred percent the last couple of days and have mostly been moping around the house, so I thought that I'd post some banners I made on photoshop on here. They are banners for my Twilight Fanfiction, which I made because I was bored and still had the free trial of photoshop on my laptop from when I downloaded it for my Media coursework. I'm contemplating posting my fanfiction on here, but I'm unsure at the moment.

My favourites are probably the last two, but I'd love to know what you think of them

Story of my life, searching for the right

Song of today is Rhianna's Unfaithful - not normally a pop fan, but theres just something about this song which touches me:

so i thought i would enlighten you today about UCAS and personal statements - the most stressfull things of my summer. So as you probably know UCAS is the way that you have to apply to universities, but what they don't say on the tin is its so complicated. The worst part of it is undoubtely the personal statement. Once you've decided what subject and uni's you want to apply to you have to write a personal statement saying why you want to do said subject in 47 lines. Now, you'd think 47 lines - thats plenty! Not so. You have to 'sell yourself' and make yourself appear to be the best person for the course, because uni is so competitive now. and its difficult to make yourself sound good with out going OTT. i send my first draft to my teacher and apparently i sound too gushing. I just don't know how to show my enthusiasm in any other way!
any way, to make me smile mostly, i was looking online and i saw these really awesome Chloe and Oliver banners, and though that i'd post them here:

technically this is a Justice League pic, but i love how it has been maniped to have all of the characters in costume!

good, right

I've been twisting and turning in a space thats too small.

Today's title comes from the James Morrison song The Pieces don't fit anymore. I really like James Morrison - there's just something so soulful about his voice and the things he sings about - i find that a lot of male artists nowadays are either over produced pop or rap and RnB which really isn't my thing at all.

Today i was watching the Top Gear Bolivia special and i was reminded of the Nazca Lines which are in Peru. They are like drawings in the sand in the desert which were made thousands of years ago. Thing is, on ground level they just look like loads of lines, but when you look from above they make shapes of creatures - its really increadible:

I was first introduced to the Nazca lines by the Antony Horowitz book Evil Star, which made me really interested in them - i'd love to go visit them someday and see them from above myself.

Had a bit of a film watching spree today - I watched Rachel Getting Married (which made me cry - its really hard hitting) Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (Very much a feel good film, with some VERY attractive guys who are near my age!) Bridget Jones's Diary (first time i've seen it ever, and i really liked it) and Star Trek (the newest movie which i love)

so a very productive day, clearly!

I wanted something, thats purer than the water, like we were.

Today for your song recomendation i put my Ipod on shuffle, and It's beginning to get to me by Snow Patrol came on. Reminded me why i used to love Snow Patrol. Their first two albums were really good, but their most recent album left me cold. Sad, i know.

Today i went swimming with my younger brother, and saw some old friends there. It made me really nostalgic. We used to be really close when we swam together a couple of years back, and did so much stuff together, as far as starting to write a book together. Then they stopped swimming in the same squad as me, and because they are in the year above me, we stopped seeing each other so much. Now, we are still friends, but we don't have that same relationship. It got me to wondering what makes you grow apart from people who you were once so close to? A little depressing - makes me wonder who out of my current friends i will still be in contact with in 20 years?

I saw Inception on Friday - it was amazing! I went with my mum, expecting it to be reasonably decent, as good way to spend a few hours, but i was absolutly mind boggling. Way better than Avatar! If you haven't see the film, i would recomend you turn away now, if you don't want to spoil it, because i'm going to attempt to explain what i think happens at the end! I know that there are a lot of people who are confused by the ending of the film, once Leo and Ellen Page went past the snow level, and into 'limbo' and if/how Leo got back. Ellen Page got a kick in the subconcious level, taking her upwards through the levels with the rest of the kicks. However Leo stayed, so he would have died in the van in the first level of the dream (because he had no oxygen), and because he was sedated he would have been sent back into limbo, which is why he washed up on the shore of his conciousness. He then went to see the guy who had died because he was shot in the first level. Then i think Leo shot the guy and killed himself, releasing himself to come back to reality. I think that they did come back, they just left the spinner spinning to make us question it, because from where i was sat, it looked like it was toppling.
So really really good film - i recomend going to see it!
